Do you have a fresh and accessible approach to communications? Are you looking to bring your style to a new platform? ZURICH ART WEEKEND is looking for a Communications Lead to deliver content for the 8th edition, from 13–15 June 2025, as well as all year round events.
ZURICH ART WEEKEND is an international non-profit-oriented organisation that brings together 65+ of Zurich’s major public and private art institutions through a variety of annual initiatives and projects, with a long-weekend June event preceding Art Basel. Together with the major art institutions, galleries, off-spaces, publishers, foundations, collections and universities across the city, we present a curated program of 80+ solo and group exhibitions featuring over 120 artists and 100+ special events including encounters with artists, workshops, guided tours with curators, art walks in the city, performances, talks, parties and more…
JOB OVERVIEW
- Managing and delivering the 2025 communications strategy
- Writing, creating and delivering the newsletter campaigns
- Planning, creating and delivering all social media accounts
- Copy-editing all external content
- Development of audiences (digital & analog)
- Managing the communication platforms for events (eventbrite/SoMe)
- Communications: website development and management, newsletters, social media
- Delivering Advertisement (online + print)
- Invitiating journalists and coordinating Press Trips
- Maintaining media partner agreements and delivering assets
- Managing and delivering all printed material across the city
- Overseeing and updating the website as well as implementing new functions
- Managing design and photography assignments
- Manage the departments budget
- Managing communication volunteers
SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS
- Strong portfolio in communications and marketing
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines with strong time management
- Brings initiative and independence to assignments
- Has a high attention to detail
- Strong ability in copywriting
- Experience in brand identity is advantageous.
- A degree in Communications related fields is advantageous
- Proficiency in InDesign and Wordpress is advantageous.
- Native/ Fluent (C2) in English. German advantageous.
- Permit to work in Switzerland.
- Performs well under pressure and has the ability to work flexibly and in demanding environments.
