The Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MK&G) is offering a two-year curatorial internship in the Photography and New Media Collection, focusing on exhibitions, publications, and digital inventory work. The intern will support the museum’s photographic collections, assist with exhibition preparations, and contribute to a retrospective on photographer Hans Hansen in 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Support curatorial projects, including exhibitions and publications.
- Manage digital inventory and retro-inventorying of the photography collection.
- Assist in collection management, loan traffic, and writing exhibition texts.
- Organize events with the Justus Brinckmann Society.
Requirements:
- Completed academic degree in art history, cultural studies, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of art history and photography.
- Experience in a museum, cultural, or research institution.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Ability to work in a team and strong organizational skills.
