Liverpool Biennial, UK
Location: Liverpool, UK
Salary: £24,200 per annum (full-time equivalent £30,250)
Contract: 4 days per week, Fixed term (1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026)
Deadline: 16 March 2025, 11:59pm
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Liverpool Biennial, including managing the operations budget, IT systems, facilities, health and safety, and HR administration. Responsibilities include overseeing the operational effectiveness of the Biennial, liaising with senior management, managing suppliers, and ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations. The role also involves preparing reports for the Director, handling procurement processes, and managing staff welfare and training.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Biennial
- Manage the Operations budget, including income and expenditure reports
- Administer IT systems, including SharePoint and ensure staff have the necessary equipment
- Lead GDPR compliance for the Biennial
- Manage facilities, insurance, and contracts for vendors
- Oversee health and safety compliance
- Assist HR Support Manager with staff recruitment, HR systems, and wellbeing initiatives
Essential Skills:
- At least 1-year experience in operations or a similar role
- Strong budgetary management and IT systems management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management experience
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and environmental sustainability
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of the North-West region
- Interest in contemporary visual art and experience with public exhibitions
- Experience working with a Board of Trustees
