Curatorial Residency Exchange Program – ARTWORKS & SAHA

Eligibility: Curators based in Greece or Türkiye with a minimum of 7 years of experience in contemporary art
Program Overview
ARTWORKS (Athens) and SAHA (Istanbul) are pleased to announce a Curatorial Residency Exchange Program, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and professional development between Greece and Türkiye. This initiative provides selected curators with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the host country’s art ecosystem while expanding their research and networks.
- Athens Residency: A curator from Türkiye will be hosted in Athens from May to June 2025, engaging with local artists, institutions, and archives.
- Istanbul Residency: A curator from Greece will spend six weeks in Istanbul from September to October 2025, exploring Türkiye’s dynamic artistic landscape.

Program Requirements
- Public Presentation: Participants will present their research or curatorial work during the residency, fostering dialogue with the local art community.
- Curatorial Text: A written reflection (essay or report format) summarizing the residency experience and outcomes will be required.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates should submit the following materials:
- Curatorial Statement (max 500 words): Overview of curatorial practice, experience, and motivation for applying.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Detailed professional background, education, and notable projects.
- Portfolio: Documentation of past curatorial projects (e.g., exhibitions, essays, publications).
