About the Role
LABoral Centro de Arte, Creación Industrial y Promoción Cultural is seeking a new Director to lead the institution’s artistic and managerial vision. This role involves curatorial leadership, strategic planning, and financial sustainability, ensuring LABoral remains a reference point in contemporary art, creative industries, and cultural promotion.
Key Responsibilities
Artistic & Programmatic Leadership
- Develop and present artistic strategies and programs to the Board of Trustees.
- Define the theoretical and conceptual vision of LABoral.
- Foster new research and production methodologies in contemporary art and new media.
- Oversee the annual programming across exhibitions, residencies, public programs, and education.
- Establish international networks and collaborations with cultural, educational, and scientific institutions.
- Strengthen LABoral’s connections with the Asturian artistic and cultural ecosystem.
Management & Administration
- Oversee staff and coordinate all internal departments.
- Supervise the Center’s operations, ensuring its efficiency and growth.
- Manage institutional budgets, integrating public and private funding sources.
- Act as the contracting authority within the limits set by the Board of Trustees.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
