The Role:
To provide research and client liaison support to Modern and Contemporary Art Specialists in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
Researcher Responsibilities:
- Support specialists with valuations, proposals, and collection advisory materials
- Execute and coordinate valuation projects
- Draft catalogue entries and scholarly content on works of art
- Produce reports and documents for clients
- Complete ad hoc projects and maintain compliance with company standards
Assistant & Client Liaison Responsibilities:
- Manage travel bookings, complex schedules, and event attendance
- Draft proposals, valuations, and correspondence
- Process expenses and maintain client databases
- Serve as the primary contact for client engagement and VIP client services
- Collaborate with global departments and specialists
- Assist with events, art fairs, sales tracking, and client communications
- Handle queries and ensure completion of specialist team tasks
Ideal Experience & Competencies:
- Fluent in German and English (another European language is a plus)
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Professional, discreet, and collaborative attitude
- Flexible and solution-oriented with the ability to multitask
