Role Overview
The Gallery Assistant will support day-to-day operations at the Singapore studio, reporting to the Associate Director. Responsibilities blend art handling, logistics, and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless gallery operations and exceptional presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Studio & Stockroom Management: Maintain artwork inventory, condition reports, and storage systems.
- Exhibition & Art Fair Support: Assist with installations, crating, shipping, and liaising with artists/freight partners.
- Administration: Process consignment/loan agreements, shipping documents, and database updates.
- Event Coordination: Represent the gallery at evening events and fairs.
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years in a gallery/museum role with art handling expertise.
- Proficiency in collection management software and logistics (shipping, framing, installation).
- Physical ability to lift/carry artworks and equipment.
- Organizational prowess – detail-oriented under pressure.
- Driver’s license (for local artwork transport).
- Based in Singapore with flexibility for event hours.
