Salary Range: $68,640 annually
LACMA is hiring an Exhibition Coordinator to support the development and delivery of its dynamic exhibition program. This role will manage multiple exhibitions and collection rotations per year, collaborating closely with curatorial, production, and administrative teams. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Exhibitions, the Exhibition Coordinator plays a key role in planning, contract management, and financial tracking, ensuring the smooth realization of both in-house and touring shows.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-departmental planning meetings and project timelines
- Manage exhibition calendars, official title approvals, and internal communications
- Draft, negotiate, and track agreements with institutions, artists, and contractors
- Assist in the development and reconciliation of exhibition budgets
- Prepare shipping estimates and invoices for touring exhibitions
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and museum standards
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 2 years of experience in museums or project coordination
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office; familiarity with TMS and project management tools a plus
- Strong organizational and quantitative skills
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable
