Arbeitszimmer thealit in Bremen invites applications for residencies and short intermissions under the thematic focus “Re Capitulating. queer.” The program explores structured revisitations of history, politics, queer movements, and the impact of war and conflict narratives in contemporary society.
Artists and theorists are welcome to apply with projects for residencies lasting several weeks, which may include public presentations, or for short intermissions like performances, exhibitions, or presentations between residencies. Submissions can be in any stage of development—from raw ideas to more developed concepts. Applications from individuals, duos, or groups are accepted.
Support includes:
- Technical equipment for project presentations
- A symbolic expense allowance (€250 for residencies, €150 for intermissions)
- Materials allowance (€200 for residencies, €100 for intermissions)
- Possible travel cost assistance
- Help finding accommodation (no studio provided)
- Curatorial support for project discussions
- Publication and promotion of projects via thealit’s website, social media, and newsletter
