Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein is seeking a full-time Curator to join its internationally connected team as of January 1, 2026, or by agreement. The museum is dedicated to modern and contemporary art and fosters an open and collaborative working environment.
Position Overview
Working closely with the Director and team, the Curator will contribute to the development, research, and realization of exhibitions, public programmes, publications, and the museum’s collection. The role includes managing solo and thematic exhibitions from concept to delivery, contributing scholarly writing, and engaging in international collaborations with artists and partner institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualization and realization of exhibitions
- Research and presentation of the contemporary art collection
- Editorial work for catalogues and publications
- Development of public programmes and educational content
- Guided tours, interpretation, and audience engagement
- Project and budget management in coordination with the Director
- Advisory role in the museum’s acquisition committee
Candidate Profile
- University degree in art history or cultural studies
- Several years of curatorial experience, ideally in a museum context
- Expertise in contemporary art and current curatorial discourse
- Experience working with collections and public engagement
- Leadership skills and ability to manage projects independently
- Strong sense of responsibility and structured work ethic
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to relocate to the region
