NAAS are excited to announce the open call for the 2025-2026 cycle of the NAAS Research & Curatorial Fellowship — a 9-10 month program supporting researchers, curators, and cultural practitioners from the Arabic-speaking region and its diasporas.
The fellowship invites research projects that critically engage with cinema, media, and visual culture, and translate the results into a public-facing outcome. The organisation is especially interested in projects that rethink inherited narratives, surface marginal or overlooked materials, and explore new modes of cultural participation and curatorial experimentation.
The fellowship includes:
- A stipend
- Mentorship and peer feedback
- Monthly virtual seminars
- Two in-person colloquiums
- A chance to publish in Malaffat
- A Platform to present your interim and final outcomes
Who can apply?
Researchers, curators, programmers, cultural organizers, writers, and academics (individuals, duos, and collectives).
