Gajah Gallery is seeking Sales Associates to join its teams in Singapore and Jakarta. The successful candidates will play a key role in nurturing relationships with artists, collectors, and institutions, contributing to the gallery’s sales efforts both online and offline. Ideal applicants should have a strong interest in Southeast Asian art, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Employment Details

Contract: Full-time
Schedule (Singapore): 5 days/week (4 weekdays + 1 weekend day), 11:00–19:00 (weekdays), 12:00–18:00 (weekends)
Schedule (Jakarta): 6 days/week (including weekends), 10:00–18:00 (weekdays), 12:00–18:00 (weekends)
Travel required: Yes

Key Responsibilities

Engage with collectors and visitors, providing front-facing customer service
Support online sales, invoicing, and third-party platforms (e.g. Ocula, Artsy)
Collaborate with marketing and curatorial teams for exhibition-related activities
Monitor global art markets and contribute to sales strategies
Maintain and update client databases and ensure follow-up after exhibitions and fairs
Achieve individual and team sales targets

Candidate Profile

Postgraduate degree in Arts, Art History, or Art Management (preferred)
Strong knowledge of Southeast Asian art
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Comfortable working under pressure and during events outside regular hours
Discreet, presentable, and committed to exceptional customer service
