The Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires is currently seeking to hire a Curator.
The Curator will contribute significant expertise to the research conducted by the museum’s curatorial team, as well as experience in conceiving and managing exhibitions and developing artistic projects of various kinds, which will impact the museum’s diverse communities and audiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with artists, earning their trust and supporting both their creative processes and the institutional management processes involved.
Candidates are expected to have a completed university degree in Art History or a related humanities field, a strong interest in Argentine art movements from the 1960s and 1970s, a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in or with cultural institutions, proficiency in English, strong organizational skills, and an enthusiastic, curious, proactive, and ambitious attitude toward the development of new projects.
The work of the Museo Moderno’s curatorial team is demanding and requires significant flexibility—working simultaneously on complex medium- and long-term academic research projects as well as delivering quick, targeted content to meet the needs of a dynamic institution in a phase of rapid growth, committed to responding to current events and challenges. We are looking for applicants eager to contribute their vision to the new Museo Moderno, collaborate in a team environment, and help shape the museum’s future programming.
We also expect applicants to be committed to making Argentine art more accessible to a growing audience—whether through significant work in exhibition galleries, in public spaces, or in digital formats—with a strong awareness of education, inclusion, accessibility, and social engagement.
To apply, please fill in the following form.
The application deadline is July 30, 2025.
