Contract: Full-time
Salary: From NT$80,000/month, commensurate with experience and qualifications

The Exhibition Researcher supports curatorial research and exhibition planning by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to artists, artworks, and historical contexts. Working closely with the curatorial team, this role contributes to developing exhibition themes, contextual frameworks, and curatorial narratives, while collaborating with departments including exhibition, education, public relations, and design to integrate content and presentation formats. The researcher also reviews media materials, publications, and exhibition texts.

Responsibilities include managing research databases and archival systems to ensure data completeness and traceability, supporting future exhibitions and publications. The role also involves assisting in the planning of public lectures, forums, and academic events, and fostering collaborations with external academic institutions to enhance research resources and networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on artists, artworks, and historical contexts to support curatorial projects
  • Contribute to the development of exhibition narratives and thematic frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to integrate content into exhibition formats
  • Review and edit media materials, publications, and exhibition texts
  • Manage and maintain research databases and archives
  • Support public programs, academic events, and institutional collaborations

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in Art History, Museology, Cultural Studies, Visual Arts, or related fields
  • Excellent research skills and curatorial sensitivity
  • Proficiency in academic reading and writing in Chinese and English; additional languages (e.g., Japanese, French) a plus
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
  • Familiarity with exhibition production processes and museum operations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • International outlook with integrative, innovative, and strategic thinking
