The Curatorial Assistant supports research, exhibition, and programming logistics; assists with production and acquisition of works; performs administrative tasks related to curatorial processes; and coordinates communication and data management across the museum’s exhibitions, displays, and permanent collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support research, exhibition planning, programming logistics, production, and artwork acquisitions
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to curatorial processes and meetings
  • Maintain and update data and image records for exhibitions, displays, and collections
  • Manage contacts and correspondence internally and externally
  • Assist in routine operations and special curatorial projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Recognised university degree (or equivalent) in Fine Art, Art History, Visual Studies, or related fields
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in cultural or related organisations
  • Experience and knowledge in modern or contemporary Asian art; strong interest in Ink art preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
