Role Overview
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of the MCA’s Public Programs. The Public Programs Coordinator will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a wide range of ambitious, high-quality programs and events that deepen engagement and inspire connection with contemporary art and ideas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of public programs in consultation with MCA colleagues.
- Deliver high-quality programs that engage broad and diverse audiences.
- Work effectively with artists, partner organizations, and specialists from other fields.
- Bring expertise in contemporary art and its role and relevance to current society.
- Engage confidently with both internal and external partners and collaborators.
- Expand professional networks to align with MCA’s strategic programming goals.
Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of contemporary public programming in a museum or cultural institution.
- Proven experience delivering successful public programs that attract and engage wide audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of the Sydney arts scene.
- Confidence in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage projects from conception through to implementation.
