The Dubai Collection seeks an Associate Curator to oversee the artistic direction, care, management, and interpretation of its digital and physical collection. The role combines research, archiving, exhibition planning, and educational outreach, contributing to the city’s first institutional collection of modern and contemporary art.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and interpret the collection, including CRM/database updates and cataloging.
Propose and add new artworks via the Curatorial Committee.
Co-curate physical and digital exhibitions showcasing specific themes, artists, or historical periods.
Support research, publications, and scholarly content related to the collection.
Coordinate exhibitions, educational programs, lectures, and workshops.
Advocate for the collection and foster partnerships with educators, institutions, and stakeholders.
Perform registration, administration, and general collection care duties.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Curatorial experience with focus on non-Western geographies and discourses (MEASA).
Familiarity with museum databases and collection management.
Exceptional research, communication, and writing skills.
Strong eye for detail and design instincts.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
English and Arabic speaking.
Experience in the UAE or Gulf region preferred.
