The University of Oslo invites applications for a Doctoral Research Fellow to join the project “Dressing the Saints: Gendering and Othering in Netherlandish Art at the Dawn of a Globalized World” (DRESS). The PhD project will focus on WP2, exploring interdisciplinary research in early modern art, material culture, and global history. The fellow will work closely with the PI, postdoctoral researcher, and have access to museum collections at the University.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Art History, Visual Studies, or related field with thesis ≥30 ECTS
- Fluent in English; reading proficiency in Latin, Middle Dutch, and Middle French
- Ability to work interdisciplinarily and across institutions
- Personal suitability and motivation for research
