Public Art Curatorial Adviser EOI – North Melbourne Community Hub

The City of Melbourne invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced Curatorial Advisers to support the development of integrated and community-engaged artworks for the new North Melbourne Community Hub. This major project seeks to reflect the area’s growing and diverse population through artworks incorporated across the building’s façade, plaza, entrances, interior fit-out, and more.
The Curatorial Adviser will collaborate with the architects to identify creative opportunities for site-specific interventions and may also conceive and oversee at least one permanent artwork developed with local community input.
Application Process
- Stage 1: Applicants answer four short questions and provide up to three images demonstrating relevant experience. Curatorial and fee proposals are not required at this stage.
- Stage 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and may attend an interview at Council House 2, Melbourne. One applicant will be appointed to commence mid-November 2025.

- Demonstrated curatorial experience in public art
- Strong track record of working with artists from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience in developing community-engaged projects
