The Biennale of Sydney, one of the world’s leading international contemporary art events, is seeking an Exhibitions Coordinator to join its Production team and contribute to the successful delivery of the 25th Biennale of Sydney (2026). This full-time role requires strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for working with artists and contemporary art.

- Salary: $78,750 AUD plus superannuation
- Start date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with exhibition partners, venues, and artists on all aspects of exhibition planning and delivery.
- Support curatorial research, exhibition texts, schedules, budgets, and installation/de-installation processes.
- Manage artist travel, visas, itineraries, accessibility needs, and onsite support.
- Provide administrative support including record management, reporting, fundraising documentation, and CRM updates.
- Assist with public programs, tours, and audience engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the exhibition.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience in exhibition coordination or related roles.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of contemporary art and experience working closely with artists.
