This fixed-term position (up to 12 months, 100% full-time) offers the opportunity to join a team of 16 conservators at Nationalmuseum, working on preventive and active conservation, documentation, and research in conservation science. The role involves planning and participating in exhibitions and loans, maintaining conservation records in the museum’s collection management system, and assessing and mitigating risks to the painting collections. Travel to other museum sites may be required.

Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and execution of exhibitions and loans
- Plan and carry out preventive and active conservation of paintings
- Record conservation documentation in the collection management database
- Assist in risk assessment, evaluation, and preventive measures for the collections
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s and/or Bachelor’s degree in painting conservation
- Minimum five years’ experience as a painting conservator after graduation
- Knowledge and experience in conserving older paintings
- Experience documenting conservation in digital collection management systems
- Good Swedish and English skills
- Strong teamwork and administrative skills
