An essential part of the London art calendar, the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition is the largest open contemporary art exhibition in the world, showcasing new and recent works by both emerging and established artists.
The Royal Academy is seeking Summer Exhibition Assistants to support all aspects of the organisation and delivery of the Summer Exhibition 2026, including the coordination and sale of artworks during the event.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of the Summer Exhibition.
- Support the sale and administration of artworks.
- Provide excellent customer service to artists, buyers, and visitors.
- Contribute to the smooth running of events, occasionally outside regular hours.
Requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, flexible attitude.
- High attention to detail and computer literacy (including database use).
- Previous sales experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Royal Academy’s ethos and the Summer Exhibition is highly valued.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends during busy periods.
