The Kitchen seeks a Development Coordinator to support all aspects of its fundraising operations, reporting to the Director of Development. The role focuses on database management, income tracking, donor relations, and event coordination, including The Kitchen’s annual Spring Gala. A key upcoming project is guiding the transition to a new CRM system.
Responsibilities
- Manage CRM/database entry, record keeping, and gift processing
- Coordinate development meetings, correspondence, and fundraising timelines
- Support grant writing, appeals, donor communications, and prospect research
- Oversee donor recognition, invoicing, and financial reconciliations
- Assist in producing fundraising materials and event documentation
- Coordinate The Kitchen’s annual Spring Gala and patron events, including vendor liaison and RSVP tracking
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, museum or gallery administration, or related nonprofit work
- Proficiency in donor databases (AudienceView or similar) and MS Office Suite
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Enthusiasm for The Kitchen’s avant-garde and experimental mission
