Contract: Temporary (maternity leave replacement, 1 year), full-time (35 hrs/week)
Lead the strategic management of CCA’s physical and digital collection, including prints and drawings, archives, and photography. Oversee vaults, collection management systems, loans, acquisitions, policies, and procedures. Supervise staff responsible for loans, circulating works, and database management, while collaborating with curatorial divisions and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies for collection management and optimization of vault space
- Supervise team tasks for reference, archiving, loans, and exhibitions
- Develop long-term planning for collection databases, in-house systems, and documentation standards
- Manage collection care protocols, emergency preparedness, and risk management
- Oversee loan and budget planning, accessioning, and object movements for research and exhibitions
- Collaborate with conservation, buildings, and finance departments to maintain collection standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in museum studies, cultural studies, art history, history of architecture, or related field
- 5–7 years of relevant museum or collection management experience
- In-depth knowledge specific to the professional sector
- Ability to work effectively in French and English, both spoken and written
