The Andy Warhol Museum is Seeking Milton Fine Curator of Art
As an essential member of the museum’s leadership team, the Milton Fine Curator of Art is charged with building upon Andy Warhol’s life, art, and legacy through exhibitions, publications, and public programs. Working collaboratively across the organization, the Curator will effectively team with Learning and Public Engagement; Exhibitions; Collections, Registration, Archives, Performing Arts and Public Programming; and senior leadership to plan and implement a comprehensive vision for the museum’s curatorial endeavors.
With a total collection of more than 7,000 two dimensional pieces of art, 100 sculptures, over 400 films, hours of audio recordings, and nearly 500,000 archival objects and ephemera, one of the Curator’s primary roles is to provide a framework for understanding and connecting to Warhol through the curation of internal exhibitions, installations, and public art across the museum campus. In addition, they will contribute curatorial insights and partnership for external exhibitions, programming, and events. Alongside the Director of the Museum, the Curator will support connecting the museum and Advisory Board to a larger network of artists, galleries, and museums locally, nationally, and internationally.
