Co-Director Call Out – FELTspace, Adelaide, Australia

FELTspace, a not-for-profit artist-run initiative founded in 2008, is seeking new Co-Directors to join its board and help lead the organisation into its next phase. Located in Adelaide’s Central Market district, FELTspace supports and presents emerging, experimental, and diverse contemporary visual arts exhibitions and public programs.

The organisation has become a key platform for early-career artists in South Australia, while also offering established practitioners opportunities to exhibit in a non-commercial, non-institutional context.

Gallery Manager (Co-Director)

The Gallery Manager joins the Board of Directors and oversees the operational and physical management of the gallery space, working alongside the Gallery Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the gallery is safe, functional, well maintained, and exhibition-ready

  • Oversee infrastructure, equipment, lighting, and technical systems

  • Manage security and liaise with landlord and external contractors

  • Lead improvements to accessibility and overall space functionality

  • Support artists, audiences, and public programming through professional gallery standards

This role is central to maintaining a welcoming and reliable exhibition environment.

Fundraising Officer (Co-Director) – Volunteer Role

The Fundraising Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring FELTspace’s sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies

  • Strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, and community supporters

  • Deliver fundraising initiatives, including the annual End of Financial Year (EOFY) appeal

  • Collaborate with the Board to support financial stability

This is a volunteer-based position focused on long-term organisational resilience.

Studio Manager (Co-Director)

A newly established leadership position launching alongside FELTspace’s 2026 studio program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and design the structure of the new studio program

  • Liaise with other studio models to determine best practices

  • Organise a studio call-out

  • Select participating artists with the Board

  • Oversee daily management and long-term operational framework of the studios

The Studio Manager will receive short-term mentorship from Rayleen Forester as the program is established.
