The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), through its Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies, announces two Scholars-in-Residence opportunities: the ongoing Rifkind Scholar-in-Residence Program and the Kallir Family Scholar-in-Residence for Viennese Art.
These residencies support full-time, short-term research using the Center’s collection of German Expressionist art, rare books, periodicals, and dedicated research library.
Rifkind Scholar-in-Residence Program
Funded by the Robert Gore Rifkind Foundation, this residency enables scholars to conduct full-time research at the Rifkind Center for one to two weeks.

Kallir Family Scholar-in-Residence for Viennese Art
Initiated by the Kallir Family in memory of Otto Kallir, this residency focuses on Secessionist, Expressionist, and related movements in Viennese art. The program anticipates an exhibition on the subject tentatively scheduled for 2030.
