The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston offers the Stavros Niarchos Fellowship in Classical Art, a nine-month term position providing curatorial experience in the Department of Art of Ancient Greece and Rome. Fellows will support research, collection management, digitization, gallery work, and public engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Improve records in the collections-management database
Handle and research objects, including archives and archaeology materials
Assist with digitization projects and gallery activities
Support public engagement programs and presentations
Contribute to departmental digital projects

Requirements

Advanced graduate student in Classical Art or Archaeology strongly preferred
Excellent research, clerical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proof of U.S. work authorization at the time of hire

Schedule

28 hours per week
September 2026 – May 2027 (flexible start/end dates)
