Carleton University Art Gallery (CUAG) seeks a Curator to develop and implement its exhibition program, working closely with the Director and programming team. The role also involves shared registrarial duties in the care and administration of the University’s art collection. This is a Career Development Assignment (CDA) requiring leave from your current position.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Art History, Museum Studies, Curatorial Studies, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of curatorial experience in a university or public art gallery, or as an independent curator
- Demonstrated record of curatorial research, writing, and programming, including multi-year exhibition management
- Experience with collection care and management
- Strong administrative, research, writing, and communication skills
- Scholarly and practical expertise with professional judgment and community consultation
Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out CUAG’s exhibition program in collaboration with the Director and team
- Participate in registrarial duties and care of the University art collection
- Ensure alignment with the University’s and CUAG’s strategic goals
