Fluxus Art Projects supports initiatives that promote the contemporary French art scene in the UK and the contemporary British art scene in France.
The programme includes two strands: exhibition projects and curatorial research trips, with funding allocated to support production, fees, transport, travel, accommodation, communication and publications (for exhibition projects).
Priority is given to innovative practices and the production of new works.
Eligibility Criteria
Exhibition Projects
- Open to visual arts projects across all disciplines
- Projects by living France-based/French artists in the UK and UK-based/British artists in France
- Applications must be submitted by institutions or organisations (not artists)
- Eligible organisations include: non-profit art centres, museums, cultural institutions, research centres, online projects, artists’ publications
- Grants cover £1,000–£10,000
- Funding cannot exceed 50% of total project budget and must represent at least 5%
Curatorial Research Trips
- Applications must be submitted directly by curators
- Applicants must be French or UK-based (minimum 5 years residency)
- Minimum 3 years professional experience or equivalent curatorial practice required
- Institutional applicants must provide authorisation for travel
- Grant amount: £1,000 per trip
