The Yves Klein Foundation launches its first research grant to support emerging researchers working on the artist’s work, thought, and legacy. The programme aims to foster new scholarship, encourage original research approaches, and situate Yves Klein’s practice within broader cultural, artistic, and contemporary contexts.
Grant Details
- Research grant of CHF 6,000 (paid in two instalments)
- One-week residency (5 working days)
- Travel and accommodation fully covered
- Access to archives in Paris

- Final text (30,000 characters) to be submitted within 6 months
- Possible publication on the Foundation’s website
Eligibility Criteria
Required:
- Under 35 years old
- PhD or postdoctoral level
- Research in art history, aesthetics, or humanities
- Strong proficiency in French or English (written and spoken)
- Open to all nationalities and countries of residence

- CV (max. 4 pages)
- Published writing sample
- One letter of recommendation
- All documents in French or English
- Single PDF file (max. 10 MB)
Programme Conditions
- Residency must take place in Autumn 2026 (no later than mid-December)
- Mandatory on-site presence for 5 working days
- Final research text required within 6 months after residency
- Selection by a jury of art professionals and the Foundation’s Director
