Asia Art Archive (AAA), Hong Kong’s pioneering independent non-profit organisation, is seeking a full-time Curatorial Assistant to support the activation and interpretation of its collections through exhibitions, public programmes, research initiatives, and institutional collaborations.
Founded in 2000, AAA has become one of the leading resources for contemporary art histories in Asia through its extensive archive, educational initiatives, publications, residencies, and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of exhibitions and public programmes
- Support project management through administrative tasks including proposals, budgets, timelines, and reports
- Conduct thematic and contextual research related to AAA Collections
- Assist with the conceptualisation, planning, and delivery of exhibitions and programmes
- Liaise with internal and external collaborators on daily operations
- Maintain relationships with artists, artist-run spaces, and cultural institutions
Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in exhibition planning and execution
- Background in arts and culture organisations preferred
- Strong interest in contemporary art and curatorial practice
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate complex multi-party projects
- Degree in art history, curatorial studies, or a related field
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
