The House of Representatives of the Netherlands is seeking an Art Collection Manager to oversee its collection of more than 1,500 artworks. This role combines collection management, registration, conservation coordination, exhibition organisation, and stakeholder engagement within one of the country’s most significant public institutions.
Working within the Facility Services department, the successful candidate will help maintain and develop the parliamentary art collection while supporting acquisitions, loans, exhibitions, and the activities of the institution’s Art Committee.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the registration, documentation, valuation, condition reporting, and location tracking of artworks.
- Research, select, and coordinate loans, rentals, acquisitions, and other collection-related projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Organise exhibitions, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Support the operation of the Art Committee, including meeting preparation and documentation.
- Participate in projects and working groups as a collection management specialist.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBO/HBO level education or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant qualification in art, culture, heritage, or a related field.
- Experience evaluating and managing artworks in museum or non-museum contexts.
- Experience presenting art and delivering exhibitions.
- Good command of English and other modern languages.
- Strong organisational, communication, and client-service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
