2026 Frieze and Goethe-Institut Curator Travel Grant

Three Germany-based curators will receive funded travel, VIP access to Frieze London and Frieze Masters, and the opportunity to meet leading art world figures
The Goethe-Institut is Germany’s internationally active cultural institute, present in 100 countries worldwide. With a longstanding commitment to fostering international cultural exchange and supporting the arts, the Goethe-Institut London works to build connections between German cultural practitioners and the wider global arts community. This partnership with Frieze reflects a shared ambition to open doors for curators from Germany to engage with one of the world’s most significant contemporary art fairs.
The selected curators will receive:
- Flights and accommodation in London from 13 – 17 October, organized by the Goethe-Institut London
- VIP access to Frieze London and Frieze Masters fairs
- A week-long itinerary of panel discussions, and museum and gallery visits
- Opportunities to connect with leading figures in the global art world
The selection panel consists of Eva Langret (director, Frieze EMEA), Leonie Mir (head of VIP, Frieze EMEA), Mario Schruff (visual arts and music programme Manager, Goethe-Institut London) and Nicolas Ehler (director, head of culture department, Goethe-Institut London).
