Simon Fraser University is seeking a Program Coordinator, Community & Cultural Partnerships to support the School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) by coordinating community-engaged arts initiatives, productions, and events funded through the SCA Community Engagement Fund.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, management, and delivery of projects that strengthen relationships between the university and community partners. Working closely with artists, cultural organizations, and local stakeholders, the coordinator will help develop collaborative arts programming and educational initiatives that reflect the SCA’s commitment to interdisciplinary practice and community engagement.
Applicants should have experience producing or coordinating arts and cultural programmes, with strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, contracting, and partnership development. Knowledge of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside cultural landscape, along with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, is considered essential for the role.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Cultural Production, Arts Administration, or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience), together with at least three years of relevant professional experience in arts programming or community-engaged cultural initiatives.
