About the Role
The Kunsthalle München is seeking interns for its Exhibitions Office starting late October / early November 2026. This internship offers comprehensive insight into the daily operations of a major exhibition venue, from visitor services and event organisation to exhibition planning and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration in all areas of the Exhibitions Office
- Responding to a variety of visitor enquiries
- Organising guided tours and events
- General administrative tasks
- Insights into the practical realisation of an exhibition
- Supporting the curatorial team with conceptualisation and planning of new projects
- Assisting during exhibition changeovers
- Insights into other departments of the Kunsthalle, such as Press and Public Relations or the Technical Department
Requirements:
- Enrolled student in Art History or a comparable degree programme
- Previous practical experience is desirable
- Proficient use of standard PC programmes (especially Microsoft Office)
- Native-level German as well as very good written and spoken English
- Team-oriented, open-minded, friendly, and resilient
Additional Details:
- Internship duration: minimum 2 months, maximum 3 months (to provide students with the best possible insight into daily operations)
- The internship is completed on a full-time basis. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, or flexible by arrangement
