The Bagri Foundation offers grants to non-profit arts organisations actively engaged in the cultural sector. Awarded twice a year, the grants support artistic projects that share traditional or contemporary Asian culture.

The Autumn 2026 funding round follows a two-stage selection process. Following the expression of interest stage, selected organisations will be invited to submit a full application.

Eligibility

To be eligible, projects must:

  • Be hosted by an established organisation with a track record of delivering artistic projects;
  • Promote the sharing of traditional or contemporary Asian culture;
  • Include established or mid-career artists from Asia or its diasporas;
  • Produce a tangible public outcome; and
  • Align with the Bagri Foundation’s mission.

The programme does not support applications from individuals or projects dedicated solely to research and development.

Projects across the UK and Europe are eligible to apply. Projects based elsewhere are supported by invitation only.

What Is Supported

The Foundation supports traditional and contemporary forms of cultural expression, including:

  • Artisan crafts;
  • Exhibitions and biennials;
  • Music;
  • New public commissions;
  • Performing arts;
  • Public literary events; and
  • Prizes and awards.

Funding for education, relief work, development and healthcare is awarded separately at the discretion of the trustees and is not subject to the Foundation’s standard grant deadlines.
