Artist Coordinator at the White Cube

Location: Bermondsey, London, United Kingdom
Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 12 months; maternity cover
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 am–6 pm, with additional hours when required
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience

White Cube is seeking an experienced Artist Coordinator to join its Curatorial Department for 12 months. The role supports Artist Liaison and Sales colleagues with administration, exhibitions, research, external projects and travel relating to a designated group of artists.

The successful candidate will act as a point of contact for artists’ studios and colleagues across the gallery. They will keep artwork, pricing and exhibition information accurate and ensure teams have the materials they need to work with artists and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication with artists’ studios and respond to internal enquiries about designated artists.
  • Maintain inventory records, including artwork status, pricing, images, loans and consignments.
  • Keep artist schedules, client interest lists and exhibition information up to date.
  • Prepare presentations, sales materials and reports for exhibitions, meetings and art fairs.
  • Work with Artist Liaisons, Sales, Accounts and the Registrar on artwork availability, transport, costs and documentation.
  • Coordinate studio visits and arrangements for visiting artists, including travel and accommodation when needed.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have direct experience working with artists on exhibitions or projects in a gallery or museum. White Cube seeks someone who can manage several tasks and deadlines, show initiative, maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues and studios.

Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages are welcome. White Cube states that it cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
