International Open Call for Exhibition Projects 2027 at VI PER Gallery in Prague, Czech Republic

Organisation: VI PER Gallery
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Funding: Up to €6,000 for exhibition production and related expenses
Exhibition period: Approximately two months in late 2027
Eligibility: International architects, artists, designers, researchers, curators and critics, applying individually or as teams
Application deadline: 22 November 2026

VI PER Gallery invites applications for its International Open Call for Exhibition Projects 2027, supporting original exhibition proposals exploring architecture and its intersections with contemporary art, design, urbanism and other disciplines.

Based in Prague, VI PER Gallery is a nonprofit institution examining architecture in its broadest sense, including the political, social, economic, ecological and spatial contexts that shape the built environment.

The selected project will be presented at the gallery for approximately two months in late 2027. The open call particularly welcomes innovative, experimental and critically engaged proposals that have not previously been presented publicly.

Exhibition Projects

The programme welcomes projects addressing a wide range of architectural, spatial, design and urban topics, particularly those exploring architecture’s relevance to contemporary issues and discourse.

Applicants are encouraged to develop original research, a coherent curatorial narrative and an integrated exhibition design proposal.

Proposals may respond to the physical and conceptual context of VI PER Gallery’s exhibition spaces. Given the gallery’s dimensions, thematic exhibitions or projects involving a relatively small number of participants are particularly encouraged.

The selected curator or participating artists are also expected to contribute to a related public programme, which may include discussions, lectures, workshops, screenings or other events.

Funding and Support

VI PER Gallery offers financial support of up to €6,000, which may cover:

  • Exhibition materials, fabrication and installation.
  • Artwork transportation and other production expenses.
  • Artist and participant fees.
  • Travel and other project-related costs.

Additional support includes basic installation assistance, graphic design and printing of exhibition materials, translation of curatorial texts into Czech and English, communications and publicity, photographic documentation and an exhibition opening.

Applicants proposing projects with higher production costs are encouraged to seek additional funding.

Eligibility and Selection

The open call is open to architects, artists, designers, researchers, curators and critics of any nationality or country of residence, either individually or as teams. There are no age restrictions.

Projects will be evaluated by an international jury based on:

  • Conceptual quality, originality and innovation.
  • Relevance to contemporary architectural discourse and related disciplines.
  • Strength and coherence of the curatorial concept.
  • Quality of the proposed exhibition and spatial approach.
  • Feasibility within the available space, timeframe and resources.
  • Potential for public engagement and related programming.

One winning project will be selected, with results announced in December 2026. All applications must be submitted in English.

Application deadline: 22 November 2026.
