You will lead on the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Tate Collection touring exhibition programme, ensuring that high quality exhibitions are developed and delivered to international venues. Focused on building our brand and reputation while generating maximum income, you will write a Tate Collection International touring exhibition strategy, manage our programmes’ reputational and financial risk and develop business planning models. Drawing on your impressive knowledge of the exhibition market in the international museum and gallery world, you will research, identify and impress new potential partners.
You’ll come to us with significant experience of organising international projects in a museum or gallery environment, with excellent knowledge of museum standards for art handling, packing, transport, display and installation requirements. This means you’ll bring with you an extensive network of international museum, gallery and arts institution contacts, as well as knowledge of UK government agencies such as The British Council and UKTI. Skilled in scrutinising and negotiating contracts, you will have the ability to present to a senior level audience. It’s likely you’ll have a degree in the history of art; your passion for art and the work of Tate will shine through.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December 2015.
