TATE-N

Deadline: March 13, 2016 at midnight.

The Curatorial Department at Tate Britain is responsible for delivering the programme of exhibitions and displays and for researching and building Tate’s Collection of British art.  This post will contribute to the work of the Curatorial Department relating to Contemporary British Art, including exhibitions, the annual Sotheby’s commission in the Duveen galleries, the Art Now and film programme, as well as acquisitions and displays of the Collection.

You will need a degree or post-graduate degree in art history or a related field and demonstrable relevant work experience working with exhibitions or a permanent collection.  You will have a broad knowledge of contemporary art, and a strong interest in contemporary and emerging British art in particular.

In addition you will need excellent writing, research, and organisational skills.  Your well-developed interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively as part of a team and collaboratively across Tate.  You will also be able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines, and maintain your attention to detail under pressure.
