Edward Cella Art+Architecture (Los Angeles) seeks a full-time Sales Director

Primary roles include:

Develop client interest and building on the Gallery’s outreach lists through initiating client contacts and expanding sales relationships.

Conduct all post-inquiry and sale follow up;

Develop strategies to grow gallery sales in house and though existing online portals;

Liaise and manage relationships with an assigned group of gallery artists fostering support and career development.

The multifaceted nature of the Sales Director role requires exceptional multitasking and interpersonal skills, for interfacing both externally with clients, and internally with artists and staff. The candidate should have a history of initiating outreach and experience in closing sales of both primary and secondary market artworks.

Candidates should be poised, dedicated, hardworking, and possess experience working in a high-level position in a gallery or art institution. Candidates should have the ability to be a quick learn, to multi-task various short- and long- lead projects, as well as being diligent and highly organized. A knowledge of post-war and contemporary art, as well as the overall workings of a gallery and art fairs are essential.

Salary commensurate with experience, a sales bonus structure, and a benefits package will be offered.
