Call for the position of Director of Artissima
Artissima is an international contemporary art fair featuring galleries characterized by the quality of their projects and of the artists presented. A rich array of collateral events are organized during Artissima. Held in Turin since 1993, it is a special window on international contemporary art.
The Fair is entirely owned by the nonprofit organization Fondazione Torino Musei, which will select the Director.

Assignments
The Director will be responsible for strengthening the international position of Artissima, ensuring the quality of art and fostering management and commercial policies aimed at increasing the profitability of the Fair.
The Director will be in charge of the following functions:
- establishing the business development strategy;
- establishing the arts development strategy;
- establishing marketing strategies;
- establishing communication and promotion strategies;
- managing relations with all parties involved in the Fair (galleries, artists, museums and cultural institutions, );
- managing external relations;
- managing human resources;
- budgeting;
- seeking sponsors and
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- specialized knowledge of contemporary art;
- well-established relationships in the contemporary art market;
- experience in business management, ideally in the art market;
- experience in event management;
- experience in marketing and public relations;
- experience in business management, economic and financial management and in the management and organization of human
- knowledge of English and Moreover, the candidate should:
- enjoy civil and political rights in the country of origin;
- have no previous criminal convictions;
- have not been banned or subjected to measures which, by law, exclude access to employment in public
These requirements must be self-certified.

- a project containing the guidelines of the development strategy of the Fair (maximum 5 pages).

We offer
Full-time position, three-year contract (2017 – 2018 – 2019 editions), with economic and contractual terms appropriate to the candidate’s professional experience. The parties may extend the contract up to two years.
