This exciting role offers the chance to support the development and building of an extensive collection of Russian art while at the same time developing your career with one of the world’s leading galleries.

Since its opening in 2000, Tate Modern’s programme of major temporary exhibitions, collection displays, projects and commissions have developed in diversity, international scope and profile.

With proven relevant experience, a degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, you will have a broad knowledge of and interest in international twentieth century and contemporary art particularly the art of Russia and the Diaspora. Written and spoken fluency in Russian and English is an essential component for the role.

As a member of the Curatorial team, your main responsibility will be to contribute to the development of Tate’s collection of international art through acquisitions, research and the giving of advice, and assisting with the running of Tate’s network of acquisition committees. You will also be required to contribute to the displays and exhibitions programme at Tate Modern.

As well as maintaining documentation and administration of the acquisition process, you will collaborate with a variety of colleagues and build and maintain effective external relations.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract of 17 months.
