The ICA is seeking to appoint a Director of Development to grow the ICA’s fundraising capacity at this exciting time for the organisation.  Poised to undertake its first major refurbishment in over 50 years with a £13m capital project and seeking to raise over £1m for its annual programme, the new Director of Development will join an organisation as relevant today as it was when it was founded some 70 years ago. The ICA is working with artists and thinkers anchored in the socio-economic conditions of our times addressing some of the most complex challenges of the 21st century: Ecology, Social Justice and Migration.

As the new Director of Development, you will be charged with:

• Developing the fundraising strategy for the ICA
• Enhancing and shaping the Development Team
• Identifying new sources of funding
• Contributing to the overall strategic development of the organisation

As an exceptionally experienced strategic fundraising professional, you will have the proven track record of prospecting, cultivating and securing major individual and corporate gifts and will be able to meet the ambitious targets for both the capital and revenue needs of the ICA in short timeframes.

You will have solid capital fundraising experience and are able to demonstrate a high level of tact and nuanced diplomacy with an ability to work effectively together with the Director, Deputy Director, Council Chair and Council members to ensure the success of the ICA’s fundraising strategy.
