Curatorial Assistant
Kettle’s Yard is seeking a part-time Curatorial Assistant to join our growing programming team.
This exciting role will provide an opportunity for an early career curator to develop, organise and co-curate two major projects and related events working in collaboration with Kettle’s Yard’s and the local community as part of the Open House and Tate Exchange programmes. The Curatorial Assistant will also work more broadly with the wider Kettle’s Yard programming team on projects relating to Open House.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to develop relationships with people at all levels, enthusiasm for working with collections, contemporary artists, and for coordinating arts projects on and off-site.
This fellowship is supported by the Artisa Foundation and aims to give the post holder experience of working within a major public gallery and with artists, the community and other cultural partners. The position is part-time for 2 days a week for 9 months.
In order to be eligible for the fellowship, candidates must have graduated from their first degree or masters (if applicable) within the past three years i.e. graduating in the summer of 2014 or later. Proof of graduation date will be required at the interview stage.
Salary: £21,843-£25,298 pro rata
