Curator, Hong Kong Film and Media (Ref:17145)

Working Location:Hong Kong Island (Cyberport Office)

You will be responsible for:

researching Hong Kong films, television, and other popular media;
developing curatorial programmes, in particular cinema programmes;
contributing to exhibitions and other public programmes related to moving image and Hong Kong visual culture; and
contributing to the general development of the future M+, including the different stages of the program and design of the museum building.

You should:

possess a recognised university degree relevant to film, video, art or other subjects related to moving image or other equivalent background;
have at least 10 years of experience in curating and programming film screenings and exhibitions with focus on Hong Kong cinema;
preferably possess experience in working in arts and cultural organisation or museum;
have a good knowledge in Hong Kong moving image scene, particularly the history of Hong Kong cinema, TV and media culture; and
possess excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English, and preferably in Putonghua.
