Tate Britain is now recruiting for the position of Assistant Curator, Displays to support the planning and delivery of the rehang of the Collection displays at Tate Britain in 2020 and changing Collection and loan display projects in subsequent years.
This position sits within Tate Britain’s curatorial team, which is responsible for delivering the programme of displays and exhibitions of British art, as well as the care, presentation and development of the Collection.
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting and delivering projects. You will also have an interest in, and broad knowledge of, British art and social history and its visual culture, and a willingness to assist flexibly across the department’s activity. You will understand how Tate Britain’s work can widen participation and have an awareness of issues of equality and cultural diversity as they affect the work of a major museum.
Your excellent writing, research and organisational skills are key, as are your well-developed interpersonal skills which will enable you to work effectively as part of a team and collaboratively across Tate. You will be able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for 5 years.
