The Asian Cultural Council Hong Kong (ACC HK) is delighted to introduce its new Director, Alexandra A. Seno. With over a decade of experience in arts administration and a deep commitment to cultural enrichment, Alexandra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her appointment is effective immediately, and it is anticipated that she will steer ACC HK into an exciting new phase.

Daphne King Yao, the Chairperson of ACC HK, expressed her enthusiasm about Alexandra Seno’s appointment, stating, “As I begin my role as ACC HK Chairperson, I am excited to welcome Alexandra Seno as the Director of ACC HK. With her multifaceted experience in the culture sector in Hong Kong and abroad, I am confident that she will be able to lead ACC HK into its next phase. I look forward to working together with her.”
Judy Kim, the Executive Director of ACC, based in New York, remarked, “We are thrilled to have Alexandra as our new Director, following Josephine Wai’s retirement. Her passion and expertise will be a valuable asset to ACC as we continue our mission of advancing cultural exchange. We are excited to witness a new chapter of ACC HK under her leadership.”
A Diverse Background
Before her role as Director of ACC HK, Alexandra Seno produced two documentary films and spent five years as the Head of Development at Asia Art Archive. During her tenure at the Asia Art Archive, she also served on the management and finance committees. Alexandra is not only an art and architecture critic but has also held key positions and advised cultural organizations in Hong Kong and beyond. Her extensive involvement includes being on the executive committee of The Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong, serving as a board member of Para Site Art Space, and providing counsel to Spring Workshop, an arts nonprofit in Hong Kong. Furthermore, she serves as an advisory council member to the International Center of Photography in New York and Singapore’s SEA Focus, a platform for visual art from Southeast Asia.

The Asian Cultural Council Hong Kong is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting educational programs of cultural exchange for artists, architects, scholars, and arts professionals in Asia and the United States. Since its establishment in 1986, ACC HK has granted over 600 awards in 26 disciplines, primarily to individuals and organizations from Hong Kong and China.
ACC HK is an affiliated foundation of the Asian Cultural Council, which was established in 1963 by John D. Rockefeller 3rd and has facilitated approximately 6,000 international cultural exchange grants. Among its distinguished alumni are trailblazers such as Yayoi Kusama (ACC 1964), Wucius Wong (ACC 1971), Kengo Kuma (ACC 1985), Chen Kaige (ACC 1986), Jin Xing (ACC 1988), Cai Guoqiang (ACC 1995), and Claire Hsu (ACC 2003).
ACC is headquartered in New York, with affiliated foundations in Hong Kong, Manila, Taipei, and Tokyo.
