The ALT + SHIFT + COMM series continues with a conversation with Paul Barsch on how the ambiguities and intertwinements of the physical and digital worlds can generate multiple ways to rethink the relationships between materiality, representation, and sensemaking and disrupt artist/curator dualities.
Paul Barsch (born 1982, Karlsburg) works with culturally charged materials across media and contexts. He is a founder of New Scenario, a dynamic platform for conceptual, post-cube, online exhibitions, and performative exhibition formats. Paul studied at Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and is currently based in Dresden and Berlin. He has exhibited work at the 9th Berlin Biennale; NRW-Forum, Düsseldorf; and OSLO 10, Basel, among others.
